This set of interview pod casts is for The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA). An independent agency that safeguards standards in UK universities and colleges by conducting reviews and publishing reports. A QAA review will highlight good practice and offer recommendations of where quality can be improved.

We interviewed both peer reviewers (qualified teachers of different institutions) and student reviewers (current university students or recent alumni). Each one is built around an Intercast interview and then some are supported by character shots of the person involved.

The QAA wanted a set of interviews that shows the range of people that work as reviewers, where they come from and what experience and professional standing they bring to the role. The films act both as a recruitment tool for prospective reviewers and as way of showing the wider audience how seriously higher and further education institutions are assessed. The interviews are about people’s experience of being a reviewer and their backgrounds. We filmed 11 reviewers over 3 days at the University of Warwick.
