Shoulder Stabilisation Surgery at Circle Bath

The Circle Bath Shoulder Unit in Peasedown St. John just South of Bath is a centre of excellence for shoulder surgery.

3 consultants work closely with physiotherapists, dedicated theatre staff and nurses, providing a specialist service for all forms of shoulder surgery.

The Shoulder Stabilisation film has been made to show prospective patients what to expect from the hospital and more importantly, their surgery. Halo has made many ‘procedure’ films with Circle surgeons and each one features an in depth interview with the surgeon as well as comprehensive ‘in theatre’ footage of the operation. The idea is that if patients know beforehand what is going to happen to them and what to expect their recovery is much quicker. It also gives people a chance to get to know their surgeon.

There are two shoulder stabilisation films, the full length procedure film and a 1 minute short used for social media promotion.

Halo Films specialises in the medical sector, founder Peter Georgi spent ten years working in the Science Department of the BBC making many hospital based shows. He was part of the multi BAFTA winning team behind the Human Body, a landmark series presented by Lord Robert Winston.  At Halo we have built on that experience and can work effectively and with discretion on wards and in operating theatres to make films that truly help people understand what to expect from their hospital stay.
